Do you already have CFW? if not, first go to https://3ds.hacks.guide and follow that.
Old 3DS XL info:
I used to have a 3DSafe A9LH V11.3.0-36U with Luma in my CTRNAND. Since ReiNAND Reibooted and Re-Reileased, I "switch"ed back.
Right now, I have boot9strap with Luma 8.0 as my CFW. Though, I'd like to see other CFW's for B9S.

Yeah, and actually, it's way easier than hacking your wii u / 3ds.

All you need to do is just replace the original files with the modded files. Keep in mind that you'll need to replace the update files and not the actual 1.0 files. Otherwise, your mod won't show at all

Can someone help me with this?:

When trying to open a DDS file from one of NSMBU's model textures, it always looks like this:

Also trying to save it just makes it way bigger then it was before. When making a DDS from scratch with the same resolution it still won't work.

Now i installed Paint.net to try, if this can open these files, and it works! But this doesn't really helps me,
because it somehow doesn't have any option to replace a collour with transparency,
and when i try to copypaste a transparent graphic from Gimp to Paint.net, the transparent area becomes black...

That's weird, when I edited some of NSMBU Yoshi and Bowser skin I used the same process as other sprites and it worked, only issue was mipmaps replacements. Is this a background texture ?

It's the texture for the propeller-mushroom, and i have the same issues with Goomba's and Koopa's Textures, and possibly any 2D animated Sprite from NSMBU as well.
I didn't checked the textures from 3D models yet (Bowser, Mario, Yoshi), but i guess, they won't work either :/

I don't know how to help you then, when I edited the NSMBU Yoshi and Yoshi egg to change its color everything went according to plan. Although I know that even Abood had issues with Mario's fire and Propeller skin, maybe it is related to your problem ?

With the question of editing the SM1 backgrounds for underground. (The ones that are hard coded)
Would it be easy to change the background colour to html hex colour: 1F0C1C
I don't mind editing it with cheat engine, or having to do it every time.

Any ideas?

Ok i could fix the DDS problem by importing the textures into Wexos Toolbox first, exporting them to dds and importing them into the model with BFRES Tool.


However, i have two new issues:

1. I can't edit the Normal Maps ("NRM") for Buzzy Beetle and Bob-Omps (NSMBU). Wexos Toolbox crashes when trying to load them and BFRES Tool don't export them.

2. When importing Tilesets with Wexos Toolbox, the "FieldEnv"-objects (Brick Blocks, Note Blocks) have a weird blue filter. When using BFRES Tool to import the texture, there will be a strange small filter on some edges:

1. There is a way to edit normal maps, if they are flat(one color) then its pretty easy. If you want them to be a custom type, then its a lot harder, but possible.

2. The Edges on the tilesets are because there are transparent pixels around the main object, so you might wanna remove those. If you want them to stay, then you will have to turn off the shadows by doing...what game was it, oh NSMBU, by editing WU_SceneDB in Static.pack. It's near the bottom if you full-screen it. For the blue filter, I think its because you should to Abood's "Ancient" method of importing custom tilesets. I didn't have this issue while making NSMBW Tileset for the NSMBU Theme...Until I think Night Yoshi told me it was an Ancient Method. Try to replace all the FieldEnv objects with their original counterparts, just keep them in DDS Format before you do, same as the Tileset. Then follow Abood's Custom Texture Method and import it into SMM, but before you boot the game, replace the original FieldEnv objects with the DDS ones that I told you to save using Abood's BFRES Tool v4.1.

1. I just replaced the normal maps with empty bitmaps, because the sprites have vertex collours applied.
But my problem is, that the normal maps for the Bob-Omp and the Buzzy Beetle seem to be uneditable. Wexos Toolbox crashes when trying to load them and BFRES Tool can't replace them.

2. Ok, i think the shadows are the problem. I try to switch them off. Thank you :)

Mario Make 3DS last version :

I have renamed my bcstm file for the NSMBU theme and nothing work , i give the name " WU_ground_game_fast.dspadpcm.bcstm.bcstm " for the Wii u Ground and that change nothing , i rename for the MB1 Theme and everything work perfectly , where can i find the files names ? i have some mods installed with music but none with the U theme and they all works

I don't know if someone already asked this but i'm sorry if that the case
